To all who say "Nehru prevented India from becoming Pakistan", do you even have a clue? Pakistan was better off than India throughout Khandhi Dynasty years. Even though Pak Army ruled for 64 years, it did better than 49 years of Khandhi ruled India.

• GDP: Pakistan had higher GDP/per capita in both PPP and nominal terms throughout the Khangress Dynasty's rule. The term "Hindu Rate of Growth" was coined expressly for the disastrous socialist planned economy that Nehru-Indira-Rajiv ran (ending, of course, with a more than a decade of overspending and bankruptcy/BoP Crisis). There have been so many books and articles written on the economic blunders of Nehru that you could devote a library to them. Forget everything else, even in the most basic duty of the government, that to reduce poverty, Pakistan has beaten India hands down. For all the hairbrained schemes to take from the rich (nationalization) and give to the poor (NREGA), Khandhis have fucked up, only making themselves richer in the process.

• Defense: Pakistan formed stronger international defense ties than India throughout Khangress terms. Not only did Pakistan influence middle eastern wars (whatever may be their outcome, it formed alliances, influence, and military relations with all its compatriots) it also formed strong relations with China due to shit tier NAM and idiotic ideologies of Nehru and Indira. India on the other hand kept buying third rate infra, could never unify the command, was only saved by the fact that Indian forces had some brilliant minds and brave soldiers, but owed nothing to the leadership. (Indira, immediately after winning the war of '71, abolished OROP that was only brought back by Narendra Damodardas Modi more than 45 years later.) The only time India came up against a formidable military, that of China, even though China literally had to go over the highest mountains in the world, India lost the Sino Indian war, ceding territory and dignity. Nehru administration was so corrupt and incompetent that well after the official start of that war, China was still routing military supplies from the ports of Calcutta, right through Indian territory, all the way to the Chinese border.

• Oh, and all the wars India "won" against an inferior military of Pakistan? What did Nehru win for us? What did Indira accomplish? Did we get any territory back? Did we impose any serious conditions, force payments or restitution, embargoes, or anything material at all? We kept shedding the blood of our soldiers, giving away land, giving away "Most Favorable Nation" trade status, giving our youth and peace to religious fundamentalism, terrorism, separatism, drugs, and crime. We never even stopped free movement of terrorists and separatists across the border.

• Kashmir: Pakistan annexed and held on to large masses of land in Kashmir (13,297 km² in PoK) and Gilgit Baltistan (72,971 km²), even trading huge areas with China. China itself gobbled up Aksai Chin (37,244 km²) and all Nehru and Indira could do was force Indian map makers to keep showing all of it as a part of India. For comparison, the area of Goa is 3,702 km².

• Riots and religion: Indian history books and popular discourse has been wiped clean of information on riots in Nehru's India. Specifically Wikipedia lists a total of ZERO riots in Nehru's term. Reality? Riots were a regular feature of Nehruvian India, official line was suppress press reporting on them giving the excuse that it may cause riots in other places. Here's a small, incomplete list:

1. 1961; February 4–9: Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh) Officially 55 killed, unofficially 200+
2. 1961, October 3: Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh) Officially 14.
3. 1961, October 5–8: Meerut (Uttar Pradesh) Officially 13-17
4. 1964; March: Calcutta (West Bengal), Jamshedpur (Bihar), Rourkela (Orissa) Calcutta: Officially 104 dead (39 shot by police), unofficial 400, +13 killed in aftermath; Jamshedpur: official 51, unofficial: "much higher", Rourkela: officially 53, Jurists' Commission 70, unofficial 2000, exaggerated reports 5000.

These are just the Nehru era numbers source. Riots were a regular feature of Indira's term with at least one major riot every year for her entire term, every term. For comparison Pakistan has had a very small number of riots. Before you say "diversity", Nehruphiles don't have the right to say that because it was Nehru who opposed Population Exchange which would have seen a 100% Muslim Pakistan and a 100% non-Muslim India.

In all aspects and facets of governance Nehru failed India, and the Khangress Dynasty is a BLIGHT on the nation. As if the problems of the nation aren't enough, they were and remain an entire problem in themselves: there's no way to dislodge them from Indian polity, and they keep creating new problems day in and day out.

And before you even start with "institutes of national importance", BC you can't build IITs and IIMs and call it a day when half your population is poor and starving, when when literacy rate is between 20-30% how many even know what good those institutes are, let alone how many know how to or are in a position to avail of them. And all the while, for decades on end, you made it impossible for private instts to grow, with the result that even now there is a huge dearth of quality institutes for entire fields like basic sciences and health and medicine.

In the meanwhile, has anyone bothered asking how FOUR GENERATIONS of Nehrus have earned a single paisa? The answer is obvious, isn't it? Bribes, corruption, eating the money that belongs to the poorest of the poor. Even your fifth generation is being brought up on the profits of the cancer of corruption.

So yeah, fuck you, Nehru. Fuck you and pox upon your entire Khandaan and its future generations.
