This post is for some people who think that the movie made by Hirani on Sanjay Dutt does not white wash but honestly portrays him. All those who think like this are naive.

[12 August 2018] Biopics and movies based on historical events are favorite flare of Bollywood right now and they are profitable also. Most of these movies deviate a lot from the true events. Considering all this, Sanju was not an exception. But large part of audience say that it whitewashes Sanju's acts, few disagree. IMO they are naive and are influenced by the propaganda of the movie.

In the movie at first they show Sanju getting into drugs and alcohol because he is so tense because of his father. Ok? Bade baap ki aualad hai, itna to banta hai. But what excuse someone has for him saying proudly dunia ka sab drug try kiya hai main. Itna Kya problem tha aadmi ko, saaf  baat hai Paisa tha to luta reha tha.

In the end of this act of the movie, Hirani shows that the friend who made Sanju drug addict was actually fooling him. How can we know Sir, that this is what happened? Sanju was a spoiled brat since the beginning

Now the movie moves on to the second act, his arrest in TADA. It has shown that Sanju was so fearful of rioters that he brought gun to protect his father, what the movie conveniently does not show that Sanju was an avid hunter.

Dutt was staying at the palace of the nawab of Sachin in Dumas, 10km from Surat. We were there on a picnic and heard the rumour about Dutt. In 1992, he acquired a fourth firearm. This was a handgun, a 9mm automatic, bought illegally and in cash from Yaqub, a man he knew from Dawood Ibrahim’s gang.

So he was already in habit of buying illegal firearms from underworld.

Did Hirani show all of this in his movie?

Why didn't he show? He was not whitewashing Sanju's acts so this should have been in movie no?

Then that cringe confession of Sanjay Dutt of having sex with 300+ women and Anushka was sitting there smiling amazed in her fake wig. So this is how we normalize serious womanizing.

Talking about Women, why did Hirani leave out other women in Sanju's life. They were not helping framing positive character of Sanju?

So there was Richa Sharma, whom Sanju left when she was fighting with brain cancer, then there was Rhea Pillai. Madhuri is understandable.

There was an attempt to normalize so many things in this movie, Just imagine a family going to watch this movie and hear the terms, Eenta (Anda), Ghapa Ghap, hopeless-topless, and then sleeping with friend's GF.

Does anyone recall the Lage Reho Munna Bhai style reunion of Sanju and his friend (through Radio). You suddenly create fake emotional scenes and now we audience have sympathy for the flawed character. Sniff sniff

And that scene where a Hindu don threatens Sanjay Dutt. Movie indicates (army dress and Sanjay's mustache) that this happened somewhere during the shooting of Mission Kashmir. Yeah Fuck you Hirani, I know what was happening around that time. Sanjay Dutt was asking Chhota Shakeel, Bhabhi kaisi hain, bachhe kaise hain, baat karwana next time after asking Chhota Shakeel to fix Salman, Govinda and Hrithik.

How did Sanju end up with people with underworld connection suddenly? Was this by coincidence or it was his habit to sit with wrong and criminal minded people?

Edit: In a final and the biggest attempt to whitewash Sanjay Dutt's life, in the climax of the movie Hirani makes the media real villain. Hirani and Sanjay Dutt had such a serious issue with the media that they made an entire song to mock media (which they showed during end credits). Itna hi flawed par lovable character tha Sanjay Dutt to ye bhi dikkhana tha ki kaise Sanjay Dutt daru pee ke Media walo ko maa behen ki gaali deta tha, there are videos on YouTube.
